Fifth Annual Tuscarora Academy Fundraiser

Located at the Juniata Valley Winery and featuring The Platonic Solids!

Vocalist Erica Shellenberger has been performing with bands and as a solo artist for nearly twenty years. She grew up in McAlisterville, PA and discovered her love of singing after joining the church choir as a child. Her broad musical background and versatility shines through in her singing, moving comfortably from standard songs like “House of the Rising Sun” and “Me & Bobby McGee” to hard rock and modern pop songs. Some of Erica’s favorite musical achievements include singing at the legendary Red’s Juke Joint in Clarksdale, Mississippi, performing the entire Lucinda Williams album Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, and appearing on stage in various summer musicals with the Twin Valley Players. Erica currently resides in Halifax, PA and sings in the popular classic rock & soul band, Shotgunn.

Guitarist Andy Adams grew up in Gratz, PA and first started playing music in 1982 on acoustic and later moved to electric bass and guitar. A highlight in Andy’s early musical career was tying for first place in Club Met’s Guitar Wars in 1995. Although he ended up in second place after the tie-breaking playoff, he was immensely proud to be one of the only self-taught guitarists on stage that night. In the decades since, Andy has been writing prolifically and playing lead guitar in both Ebenezer Screw and Iroquois Confederacy. While many are quick to typecast him as a metal head, Andy’s musical tastes span many genres from jazz fusion to Spanish flamenco.

We will have several food trucks including Deimler’s Butcher Shop and Hall’s Ice Cream and will sell 50/50 tickets!

Tickets available at the event and at the Juniata County Library and the Historical Society Archives during normal business hours. All proceeds benefit the upkeep of the Tuscarora Academy
