Pave the Way to History at the Tuscarora Academy
Dear Community Member
The Tuscarora Academy Museum is Juniata County’s only surviving 19th-century academy building—and it belongs to all of us. But for many, visiting isn’t easy. Uneven ground and muddy conditions keep volunteers, members, and guests from fully enjoying the site.
With your help, we can change that. The Juniata County Historical Society is launching a Brick Sponsorship Drive to fund a new paved walkway, ensuring safe, comfortable, and welcoming access for everyone.
Why It Matters
-
Increased Accessibility – A smooth walkway means visitors of all ages and abilities can visit the Academy.
-
Preservation with Purpose – Each engraved brick becomes part of the Academy grounds, leaving a lasting legacy.
-
Community Connection – This is more than a path—it’s a way to strengthen our shared ties to Juniata County history.
